This topic has been on my heart for a few weeks now, and since the vitamins I took the other day are preventing any more sleep, i decided to ask the Lord to help me unfold these thoughts in this Blog. Let me start this topic with the definition of Unsung Hero, which according to a dictionary reference says this; A person who makes a substantive yet unrecognized contribution; I know that everyone in this life, one way or another has a contributor to their success, that is probably unrecognized to most. I mean lets be real, from the day your born someone has to take care of you and without this your life would cease to exist. From the day your born someone is helping you, to survive life. And at some point most people acknowledge gratitude to the parent/ parents or persons who were responsible to do this. But more often than not, myself included through much of life, we get busy and forget how much work it took from others, to get us where we are at.
And in the big picture, I'm floored when i think about what God has done to create me and the world I live in. The Bible actually says that his thoughts to us, are more than the grains of sand. Seriously is that possible in our own imagination? Read what God says from the Holy Bible; ESV — Psalm 139;16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.
I'm very thankful that through Gods grace of giving me a conviction to read the Bible, I've been given eyes to recognize the people and the Lord's hand in my life, that has blessed me to get where I'm at. My point here is that without God's Word to guide me, I get caught up in me. Being taught Wisdom/ Knowledge/ and his Truth, has revealed to my heart, the ability to recognize the Unsung Hero's of my life. I now have the opportunity and joy of saying thank you to God, and all those who are, or have been a support to me.
The documentation of this Blog is about God's blessing's on how this Ministry is coming together. So i would be Remiss If I didn't share a huge supporter that I'm very grateful for. The two people who have always had my back, Dad & Mom. And again, just recently the opportunity to get some Support from Sector-9 for the ministry became available. I just needed to cover the cost of materials, and the decks were mine. Dad & Mom without any hesitation, gave me the Cash to make it happen. So they are the Unsung Heroes of my life, that i have joy to profess.
Thank you God, for all you've given me through them. My Dad is 84 with mom trailing a few years behind, and I'm unworthy of their continued blessings. I can never repay them for all they do for me, and this is also my attitude with Jesus Christ and the Father as well. Its embarrassing when i think back to the times, that i didn't honor those who help me.
One of the stories Ive heard in Church countless times, is about the Pastor who is kind to a fellow motorist, and then no acknowledgement of the kindness, brings a sense of anger, and those emotions in traffic still hit me at times. Now take those acts of kindness and multiply them by a thousand times a thousand, and ask yourself how God could feel, when you go through life ignoring his blessing's. With that said, I encourage you to be focused on what makes your life possible. And the Grace of Salvation to eternal life, made possible through Faith in God's Son. Ephesians 2:4-9 (ESV)
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in our trespasses,
Made us alive together with Christ---by grace you have been saved---
6 And raised us up with Him and seated us with him
In the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 So that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of his grace
In kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
9 Not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Jesus instructs us to love others;
John 15:12-15 ESV “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
You might ask what is love?
1 Corinthians 13; Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand or insist on its own way. It is not irritable or resentful, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.I
The other day, I heard something on Fox News on the O-Riley show from a Catholic Nun that was in an Elvis Presley movie years ago. She said; "Evil is the absence of love". This is probably one of the best statements that resonates Truth, that I've ever heard on TV. Because God is Love, and without love you have evil.
Here's a Scripture elaborating on this;
1 John 4:16 (ESV) 16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
