Let me start by sharing the definition of the word epiphany; defined as an experience of sudden and striking realization. In which an enlightening realization allows a problem or situation to be understood from a new and deeper perspective. Before I elaborate on this, Ill share some of the ground work, that brought me to this.
As a Disciple of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings Jesus Christ by the grace of God, I'm taught to pray for his guidance and his will for the direction of my life, especially for this Ministry. So before I write on this blog, I ask the Lord for inspiration/ wisdom/ knowledge/ and the ability to lay it out, in a way that could be understood by others. For the past week, Prayer was the topic that was resonating in my thoughts, but since I could talk for days on the subject, it was unclear what should be written.
Then this morning as i was sipping some tea and having some prayer time/ Spiritual fellowship (I believe God hears me) it became clear "I had a moment of Epiphany" on what I could share about prayer. Through my journey of life, people share their troubles with me, and I ask God's help for his Divine intervention in their lives. As i was reflecting on problems for someone very dear to my heart, a few Scriptures came together that I believed could benefit anyone willing to listen and apply.
The problem in prayer concerned the mistreatment of a woman by her man. No one, deserves to be called names, or insulted, regardless of the situation. I'll raise my hand first, when it comes to having been stupid in this area. Thankfully God had patience with me, and showed me the error of my previous ways.
Now back to what I believe is worthy to be shared today. The Holy Bible says; "human desire is never satisfied". Proverbs 27;20 Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied so human desire is never satisfied. So clearly it states, that a person who lives for their desires is not going to be satisfied. When we live for what God desires for us, then we enter his rest and peace. Hebrews 3;18-19 And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? 19 So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief. If you don't believe in God, then you live for yourself, which is going to make you feel unsatisfied. And more often than not, evil behavior is chosen to be justified, because of frustration on not getting what someone wants.
So when people marry, everything is cool in the beginning, because they feel they got what they desired, but without God in the marriage, people lose sight of the blessing's of someone to share life with. My Epiphany related to the Clarity of a Bible scripture, as it related to losing focus on what we learn in life.
God gives us lessons (Discipline from making bad decisions) in the world, to bring us closer to him. If these past experiences build our character, it makes us better people and draws us nearer to God; Mark 9:49-50 For everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves. We will all go through problems, which will build our character, metaphorically speaking; we will have better flavor. But when we lose our flavor (Character developed from experiences) how do you regain it?
For those who lose their good character, God says this; Matthew 5:13 - You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savoir, wherewith shall it be salted? it is therefor good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. We all need to live in good character. Something most people are taught from youth. God says that he specifically punishes his children to discipline them; Hebrews 12:6 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”
Summarizing what I'm trying to share, is that God season's us with fire in our lives, to make us better people. These experiences (lessons) should not be forgotten. Our feelings can deceive us through certain seasons of our lives. If we lose sight on what is really important, our emotions without God can be destructive to others. How does this all relate to this Blog, on how the Lord is putting this Ministry together you might ask? I'm reminded that no matter what situation I'm in, I should always try my best at showing good Character. No matter who wants to discredit me, or say things insulting to my character or this Ministry. I have gone through countless lessons through my journey on this planet, and God never wants me to forget what I've learned through them. i have been salted with the Fire of Pain, so that I could enter God's rest by Surrendering my foolishness by obeying him. And if I desire God's blessing's to build this Ministry, then my first priority is behaving in a way that honors him, and shows my faith.
if its my duty to honor God as I facilitate this ministry through him, how much more should a man honor God by loving his wife unconditionally. Read what God says about love; 1 Corinthians 13;4-6 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand or insist on its own way. It is not irritable, or resentful and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. No man or woman has the right to belittle each other, in any way. The Bible says that a man needs to love his wife as Christ loved us. read for yourself; Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Jesus died on the cross to pay for all our sins to destroy the curse of evil upon all mankind, when we were absolutely undeserving of this. So what right does anyone have to belittle another, especially those in marriage.
I can honestly say that my life was like hell in marriage, because I felt that i had given everything i had to the woman I married, and she was unwilling to acknowledge all the sacrifices I believed to have made and her defiance of most any request on our lives was becoming intolerable (as I began to think she didn't love me, and was an unbeliever who i had mistakenly trusted). But God revealed to me in a dream that i still loved her. To make sure I understood the dream was from him, I was given the dream two days in a row. As it is revealed in this Bible verse Genesis 41:32; And the doubling of Pharaoh’s dream means that the thing is fixed by God, and God will shortly bring it about. So after much Prayer and Indulging in his Word about Love, I came home from the Sierra mountains, loving her unconditionally as Christ loved me. Long story short, 7 months have gone by, and life hasn't been better with her since the day we married 7 years ago. So in conclusion, if I treat all those I'm in contact with regarding this Ministry as God would direct me to act, then the ministry will continue to move forward, just as my marriage has. The seasoning of Fire (Pain from Discipline) I've experienced through life, will keep me on the straight road if i remember my lessons and also prevent the failure of this Ministry by God's grace.
