Photo above, is a gathering of individuals including myself, that love Jesus and have come together for Church. God doesn't live in the building, as these Scriptures say; Acts 7:48-50 English Standard Version (ESV)
48 Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands, as the prophet says,
49 “‘Heaven is my throne,and the earth is my footstool.
What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord,or what is the place of my rest?
50 Did not my hand make all these things?’
Acts 17:24-27 King James Version (KJV)
24 "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshiped with man's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
When Christians come together to have sincere fellowship with each other and invite Jesus for Worship/ prayer/ and Praise,
then this is Church.
The following verse gives a little insight on this; Ephesians 2:19-22 King James Version (KJV)
19 "Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in the Lord:"
The building is the unity of believers together, sharing the gifts God provides while celebrating life with the King and each other!
So whenever I can get together with those who love the Lord, I'm truly blessed!
1 Corinthians 12:27-28 New Living Translation (NLT)
27 All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. 28 Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church:
first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles,
those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership,
those who speak in unknown languages.
The Scriptures above mentions no necessity of a building, and outlines the structure of the Church. The next Scripture I will share,
will explain my statement on sharing Gifts the Lord provides;
1 Corinthians 12:4-11New Living Translation (NLT)
4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. 8 To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice[a]; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.[b] 9 The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. 10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages,[c] while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.
The previous Scriptures give a brief oversight on what a Church according to the Lord (Holy Bible Scriptures) looks like, and the next verses reveal Gods heart for its members behavior; 1 Corinthians 13 English Standard Version (ESV)
13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant, proud 5 or rude. It does not insist or demand its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
And why is love important to God?
1 John 4:6-11King James Version (KJV)
6 We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.
8 He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
Jesus Rules Ministry has embraced the next Scripture, as a means of supporting itself;
Thessalonians 4:11-12 New Living Translation (NLT)
This should be your ambition: to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we commanded you before. 12 As a result, people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others to meet your financial needs.
